On January 31st, 2025, Wisitech’s new office inauguration marked a significant milestone – the grand opening of our brand-new workspace in Acharya Niketan, Mayur Vihar Phase 1, a bustling commercial hub in East Delhi. And what a celebration it was! From the peaceful havan and puja to the mouthwatering lunch, everything about the day was just perfect.
From the moment our guests and employees walked in, the excitement was visible on their faces. Everyone was delighted to see our new workspace, and we were greeted with more than a few “Is this really our office?” reactions. Honestly, we couldn’t blame them—the place looked so different! If we hadn’t known better, even we would’ve thought we had stepped into a completely new world.
Our new office boasts a modern and sleek design, with a spacious open-plan layout that makes the entire space feel welcoming and bright. The interiors are tastefully minimalistic, with clean lines and neutral tones that create a calm, professional atmosphere. What stands out the most is the natural light that pours in through the large windows, which is a rare treat in most office spaces. This makes the environment feel airy and refreshing. The office features well-planned workstations, a comfortable lounge area, and a spacious conference room to foster collaboration and individual focus. It’s a perfect balance of modern design and functionality.
We kicked off the new office inauguration with a traditional havan and puja, ensuring that the office would be blessed with prosperity, success, and, most importantly, Wi-Fi that never crashes. ???? The air was thick with incense and the sounds of mantras, and the veteran priest sent a few of us running around for some missing knick-knacks and materials that were essential for the puja ceremony. We got that home-like feeling – just we run around during a family function.
As Wisitians, some with their spouses, children and parents, trooped in, all looking amazing in traditional kurtas, sarees, and trendy outfits.
The energy in the room was contagious. Some were deeply immersed in the rituals, others were sneakily eyeing the snacks, and a few were just trying to figure out if they could get a good selfie with the spanking, bright-lit office in the background. We had a lot of fun arguing over which workstations to occupy – everything was so new and shining.
After the puja, it was time for lunch, and the food had everyone excited. We were keen not to have hotel-cooked food. Our good friend and master chef Maya Putatunda, who runs a very successful cloud kitchen, came armed with a scrumptious home-cooked spread neatly packed in thalis. Every bite was full of flavor, and before we knew it, plates were wiped clean. It was the kind of meal where you tell yourself, “This is enough,” but somehow, your hand keeps reaching for just one more bite. By the end of it, there were content sighs, loosened belts, and a few people leaning back in their chairs, wondering how they’d ever move again.
As the day wrapped up, we posed for group photos and handed each other and all our guests lovingly packed token gifts. Every big event has its humorous sidelights and our office opening was no exception. One of our guests unknowingly slipped into someone else’s shoes and left for home. The excitement had clearly taken over because the person didn’t even realize the mistake until much later. By then, the original owner of the mistaken shoes had hopped around barefoot for some time while all his colleagues looked high and low for the missing shoes.
Whether the shoes were too big or too small, it didn’t seem to matter at the time—until much later when something felt… off. This mix-up is just like The Man with the Twisted Lip, where a man goes “missing,” only to be found living a double life in disguise. If only this guest had Sherlock Holmes’ sharp eye, they might have noticed the switch before their toes started complaining. Instead, they got a funny mystery of their own—one that ended with an awkward call to return the borrowed footwear!
The inauguration wasn’t just about opening a new office—it was about celebrating with the best people and making memories we’ll laugh about for years. With a fresh start in a fantastic new space, we at Wisitech look forward to all the great things ahead. Here’s to new beginnings and a wonderful journey!
